We learn in Drag U that when a performer takes the wig off, they not feeling the number. However our producer who acts in the show I perform at, took off the wig, tore the costume half way off, the crowd went nuts, Why the confusion off why its bad?

There is plenty of room in the community for every type of drag queen..
BUT .. for the more natural look it only really works on young Boy queens.. the older you get the more difficult it gets to pull of... without hormones or silicone... and that look is usually done by the TS Queens and even the REALLY SUCCESSFUL TS queens paint for FILTH when performing.

YES SHADY... but be careful NOT to stoop to her level. Lead by example and be the best you can be. Instead of bringing up her faults... you can try to take what she said about your faults as constructive criticism and use that as a way to improve.

Shadow base is VERY important ... especially when you want pigmented color. As for Application, No you dont have to use a Brush, but many makeup artists use brushes because they are easier to blend with.

and for the makeup you need to use PANSTICK... its a THICK Foundation and it covers your flaws... like hairs etc....

and COVER GIRL DOESNT COVER BOY... meaning real girl foundations are not thick enough... they are made to look as if there is no makeup and that is the opposite of what you want especially when you have facial hair ....

YEAH... best way is to get your feet wet.. and as time progresses.... start collecting more clothes, wigs etc... and each time you get ready.. and do your makeup every time EXPERIMENT and do different things... BIG NOSE.. SMALL NOSE etc you will get better each time... Go to parties... events and once you feel pretty and that you have gotten better... you can then start to peform etc...

It depends... does he feel he is a woman trapped in a mans body.. .then NO i dont think its too young... but if he just wants to do drag... then I would focus on an education etc.. Drag is an adult job and I cannot think of anywhere that really had children drag queens performing...
but it wouldnt hurt to prepare like take sewing classes.... Makeup classes.. hair classes etc... and that will help become better at the craft when it comes time

A Transgender is a PERSON who feels they are born in the wrong body. A transsexual is someone in transition and undergoing sexual reassignment surgeries (hips, Ass, Lips, breasts, etc....) (PRE OP Means they still have their penis, and Post Op means they have had the down stairs surgery)
SO you can be either.. or both... Some transgendered people have never had any surgeries / augmentation etc.... maybe from fear or from lack of budget etc.... and Some Transsexuals started of Gay Men / Drag queens but for their career advancement they undergo some surgeries for a competitive edge (especially for pageants etc) and they are physically Transsexuals but they are not Transgendered.

With a LOT OF ADVICE You get from Friends / Co workers etc.... you must take every thing and think... Are they trying to truly HELP ME? or do they have to something to gain from this...
NOW assume your friend has your best interest... and I think she does.... for example you are BIG.. and SO am I so I think I understand.... IF YOU HAD A BIG SCAR ON YOUR FACE.. its there no matter what... you can put your head down and TRY to cover your face with your hair... or.... you can accept it and do your hair however you want....

i shave in all directions to try to get really smoothe, for the most part i do except for around my mouth and upperlip, it really shows the bumps from shaving after makeup is on and start the liner. you always look so flawless . any tips?
The only way I can get around the bumps is if I shave EVERY DAY.... and Make sure you moisturize....

NO STRESS...... I have 900 + Questions ... and Im doing my best to do the older questions first... but I went to post yesterdays youtube video about acne and it was gone...? and I noticed that they are deleting my old questions.... and I think its because I had too many.. and looking through I was trying to delete the silly questions like "ARE YOU A MAN" etc... and I noticed you and others repeatedly asked the same question... and it was just frustrating....

Dear Misty Ive been talking to this guy for about two months. Everything has been going well until tonight.Our first sexual encounter. I went down on him and I was appuald by the smell. I stopped and i asked him to take home.what should i do? :(
YES you have a delima.... but its easily resolved all you have to do is be honest and let him know. It may sound silly, but some people truly do not know they smell. Im quite sure once he knows he has an oder he will wash before hanging out.

when I was 8 years old I had gotten a pair of slippers for Christmas and they were SLICK on the bottom.. and I was RUNNING down the hall and sliding on my feet "Risky business Style" but on the carpet and one time I guess I was going to fast and hit my head on the top of the TV... Got stitches etc....
i'm a part time drag queen in california and trying to bring something different time my audience. i love music, dance and costume from around the world, and would to perform some of what i know...but i'm unsure if it would be well recieved...help?
Drag is all about SMOKE and MIRRORS..... tricking the human eye to seeing something that isnt there... if you can master that craft you can trick your audience into enjoying anything that you want them to.... and if that is a GERMAN SONG... so be it...

Hi Misty, I have a question for you I want to try Ben Nye make up and I was wondering since I feel we have similar skin tones if you could recommend a good powder to use. Also i saw you use super white and fair for highlight. What about contour.
For contours I use Eyeshadow or blush in Rust colors... :)
Hi Misty. I think you did a wonderful job at the dance contest and for a large man you were extremely graceful. Sure can't say the same about Chaz Bono, who looked riduculous on Dancing With Starz. I think you should go on DWS and show them what's what!

Dear Misty What is the significance of that strip of, I believe, one dollar bills hanging on your wall? Obviously tips which you're received while performing, but why don't you spend them on some make-up or a new fierce wig or sumthin?

OF COURSE ITS NOT WRONG.....
if you want to make a career of this you need to BE GOOD and how can you be good unless you often go out and practice... different hair styles, makekup etc.... knowing that every time you go go out you get a little bit better... KEEP IT UP.. also you will meet people and make connections that might lead to future bookings.
Dear Misty- what is your skin routine? I know wearing all that heavy makeup can destroy some people's skin-blemishes, wrinkles, etc. How do you keep your skin looking so great?
it must be genetics... I get asked this all the time.... I wash my face after work with Dish soap and then shampoo hair/ face and then conditioner hair / face.... SOMETIMES I use baby oil for makeup removal but not often and I shave with conditioner. Thats it

In fort lauderdale the only gay bars that have 18+ are the Stripper bars Boardwalk and Johnnys........ I also work at Lips which is a resteraunt that is no age limit... other than that I dont have any ideas for you... :(

what is reasonable???? tough to say... depends on who is doing your makeup.. how good they are... where you live etc..... and most importantly it depends on what its for...
I usually charge $100 for regular bookings.... benefit shows, etc..... Ive head of people charging double / Triple that for pageants and special events... and for real women like weddings etc... I have heard of people charging 800 to over 1000......

but once I took fabric and wrapped it around the head several times to make it bigger for sizing however the wig pins wouldnt work :( :(

PRACTICE...this is not something that you can just watch a video on and learn about.. you actually have to do it. Every time you do your makeup do it differently... MORE EYELINER... MORE BLUSH etc... take pics and look at them study them.

often times people try to change the one they are dating into something that they desire... usually its men that date drag queens and try to make them trannies. either way its dangerous to dante someone that doesnt want you... you will find someone that loves and accepts you for you... whatever that is.

You do not need a boyfriend to be happy.... and to me it sounds like your cautious... and there is nothing wrong with that.... I think its better to be single then to be like a high schooler who has a new boyfriend every week.
To me that is unhealthy and dangerous... those people are co dependent and cannot be happy unless they belong to someone else... often times they take any person that will accept them.
I think its better to be single and wait for a special person. What if your prince charming comes along and your currently dating some looser because you dont want to be single... ???

In this Business beauty is important yes... but its not everything.... there are all types of people that make GREAT entertainers. You can have bad teeth, bad skin, you can be really skinny or you can be really fat etc... as long as your good at what you do.. your good.
the good thing for you is that you can mask / cover up your skin blemishes with makeup (Thick foundation etc)
Im not a pro with skin care... im not sure if its genetic etc....
BUT from experience I will tell you to stay away from Salty Food, and I think Blemishes usually happen on OILY SKIN so deep clean twice daily and DO NOT EVER TOUCH YOUR FACE... the oils on your hands etc..

I loved all of my grandparents.... but unfortunately were NOT SUPER CLOSE to any of them, I grew up in different states etc.... and they all passed while I was young.

that is a question that differs from every person to every person.... Depending on the guy hitting on you.. and the girl in drag... SOME like to get out of drag.. and some "STRAIGHT" or Trannie Chasers prefer you to be all dolled up.. it mearly depends on what you want etc.... I dont have an answer for you ... but I have heard of girls going to the bathroom and taking off their pads and hiding them under the sink before they hit the bedroom etc... but im not going to tell you what to do .. that is only something you can decide on for yourself
