Are you celebrating Valentine's Day this year?
Im Single this year... SO I wont be Celebrating the LOVE HOLIDAY.. but I will be in DALLAS Valentines weekend the 11th and 12th..at the TIN ROOM. and then the 13th I'll be back in FTL for Trannie Palace at BILLS, and on MONDAY Valentines Day I'll be out with the South Florida Sisters of the Rising Sun passing out Valentines to all the single people at that clubs :)
I have been wanting to start performing, I think one thing though that may set me different from a lot of other girls is that I can sing, like a diva, and i want that to come across as non diva as possible Im shy and not confident but I can definitely sin
For someone who hasn't even performed yet.... I guess its important to decide what type of QUEEN You will be? or want to be? There are One woman show's like Jackie Beat, Lady Bunny, Coco Peru, Sherry Vine, and Cashetta... and in this one woman show they are on stage for 45 min to 2 hours alone..... in which singing live.... mixed with comedic talents and timing is VERY IMPORTANT.... HOWEVER 99% of the drag community is a girls showing up to Bars, venues, parties, etc and doing one number sometimes two.... SOME capitalize on their ability to impersonate celebrities both past and present, some sing live and others just pick any song that will touch either themselves or the audience.... If you fall into the 99% category, yes I would continue to SING LIVE and YES perfect your craft but I wouldn't label yourself as a ONE TRICK PONY..... meaning... I would switch it up to keep the audience guessing.... is she going to sing or ???? etc....

HMMM..... I moved to FL for a GUY who is an ASSHOLE, and he was emotionally and physically abusive. He didnt allow me to work for he thought I was cheating etc.... after a few hospital visits etc.... I basically ran away... with NO MONEY and NOTHING TO MY NAME but a few outfits.... I slept in my car for 3 days and found a job and a roommate situation etc... and started over from SCRATCH... slowly getting a bed, computer, etc... and I HAVE EARNED everything I have.... and THAT experience was HORRIBLE I would never wish that on an enemy... but it taught me that I CAN MAKE IT ON MY OWN...

MANY people are intimidated or Afraid to take the first step in doing their face... but the amazing thing is.... your face is LITERALLY a WHITE CANVAS.
I did both sides of my face very different... Looking at me on the RIGHT SIDE is more of a GEISHA Face... simplistic... and the LEFT side is more of a CLUB KID LOOK... but both of them are perfect for Sister Face.
IF You watch closely... you will see that I had NO IDEA what makeup I was going to do.... I just started going....
BUT THE REALITY IS when you have white face... all you need is Lashes and lipstick and the rest is anything you want... you can do lines... or dots or swiggles etc. :) JUST PLAY and have fun with it :)

Lipgloss shortens your lipstick lifespan.... meaning you will need to constantly re apply..... THE more MATTE your lips are the LONGER they will last. I personally prefer MAC Lipstick.... also if you put glitter on your lips it helps them last much longer as well :)

I LOVE WIGLINES, Especially on lighter colored hair (for black hair you can just use black hairspray to blend in your hair) but this is GREAT FOR STAGE, I wouldn't tell a real girl to wear a wigline for a daytime look.

I think there are a couple reasons people tease you.....
1 - Because they are jealous - For some reason... its a subconscious thing but when people want what you have .. they try to make you not want it.
2 - I learned from my uncles.... that they only pick on you when they get a reaction... or they only tickle you when you fight them.... if it doesnt bother you at all they stop.....

Dear Misty, I’m a twenty year old gay boy living in Vancouver BC, I suffer from OCD and panic attacks among other phobias since I was nine years old. On my birthday (Aug 1) the three only friends I had decided to call me on the day of my birthday to tell me they would not be coming over because they didn’t want to be friends anymore because of my anxiety problems. I guessed they found it to much to deal with. Now my question is, since my birthday, I have been inside my house everyday and devolved social anxiety, I’m scared to leave my house, and I don’t have friends to talk to, or help me leave. Is the aim of drag to look like a woman? or... is it more a performer/theatrical type thing?
There are MANY TYPES and Variations of DRAG QUEENS... but in my thoughts.... I think a DRAG QUEEN's #1 GOAL is to ENTERTAIN (OFTEN while looking like a woman or with female characteristics... but some dont wear wigs or boobs etc... )
A transsexual's Goal is to look as MUCH like a REAL woman as Possible.. and Some trannies also do drag shows ;)

Dear Misty I have been hosting shows for quite a few years, I like my shows to classy, sassy and fun, but some of the performers prefer to indulge in a few too many cocktails, which I think makes for a sloppy performer. should i still let them perform?

I have friend that only talk to me when I'm in drag. When i'm not they act like they don't even know me it really bothers me i rather not be there friend at all. Is it bad to think that way?

BUT I wouldn't waste too much time doing so.... because there must be a reason they only talk to you in drag.... WOW....... WELL... FIRST Let me explain that TOP has nothing to do with being oral or not.... TOP/BOTTOM ONLY MEANS GIVER OR RECEIVER.... and IT is expected for both tops and bottoms to be oral.

Misty, where do i find bottom lashes? I've looked everywhere even the place i buy my lashes and they dont have any either! helpp!!! =( i use 199's currently
WELL.... if you like 199's I'd do an online search and BUY SEVERAL so that when your favorite store is out you dont have to worry....
BUT FOR ME... when I wear BOTTOM LASHES I just use REGULAR lashes UPSIDE DOWN.... you dont need to wear lashes SPECIFICALLY made to be BOTTOMS...
I usually wear 301's on TOP and I have also worn 301's on bottom... but its a bit much even for my face LOL :)

MOST Drag queens, especially the one's that do them FULL TIME.... are considered INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS. Also known as 1099 employees... and YES we do our taxes as ACTORS and you should keep all your receipts ... FABRIC, makeup, movie tickets etc..... they are all tax deductions to furhter your career

I want to become a drag queen, my family dont like the fact im even gay..they are religious..what do I do...I sometimes want to move far away and do it..any advice?
I understand your pain.... I graduated HS in a SMALL One Stoplight Town in Kentucky... and THERE was NO WAY I was going to stay there to go work in a Factory.... and YEAH I RAN... Initially I ran to JESUS... but in the long run I was able to find myself and discover who and what i truly was because there was nobody here to judge me. SO IT WORKED FOR ME... but I wouldnt tell you to do that... unless like me you live in a SUPER SMALL and VERY JUDGMENTAL TOWN
As for Doing Drag.... I dont know what I would say... Partially I would say FOLLOW YOUR HEART... but also DONT bite the hand that feeds you..... If you live under your parents roof, I would start to develop your foundations... a wig here a pair of heels there... but I wouldn't officially START until you live on your own...

I have been living and passing 100% as a woman for years.I transitioned when I was 15 and had surgey at 18. Im 34. My question is, is it wrong to feel I DO NOT belong to " Gay Community"? I do not identify with gays, quuens, lesbians, or other TSs.
IT IS NEVER WRONG TO FEEL ANYTHING YOU FEEL....
and NO I dont believe that you should feel bad for it either...
ESP being you transitioned VERY Early... you identify as a REAL WOMAN... and there is NO NEED to feel any other way.... THE reason a LOT of "GIRLS" have reached out to the Gay community is because we are the only community that accepts them and possibly even understands them.... NOT to mention usually they spend a LOT of time in our community before they either decide to transition or realize they need to etc.. and dont know anything else.
