I agree and realize that there is a STIGMA around that profession... but IM A CROSS DRESSER for a living... and we are BOTH adult professions... UPLIFTED and Idolized by our gay community and both of which get SCORNED and LOOKED DOWN upon by the Church and Christians.... WE have a LOT in common.... We Both Flirt for a living (but so do good Bartenders, and waiters) and yes I realize that they have sex with others... But that is work..... many of the time they have sex with people that are not even gay, and also doing it for the money.
I would say that there would have to be a LEVEL of trust, but that is for any Relationship that I choose to have... with anyone...
In order to comit to someone I MUST FEEL HIS LOVE and RESPECT and there must be a LEVEL of TRUST, Im not a jealous BF and both he and I need to be able to trust each other.
It takes a VERY STRONG MAN to date a Drag queen.... We are constantly in the public eye, and our private lives become public.... etc... its not that much different... AND YES.... If I fell in love with a porn star... and if our relationship was based on trust.... I wouldnt ask him to stop doing porn. Just as he shouldnt ask me to quit drag.

What has been your biggest obstacle (so far) of living in south florida and working as a drag queen?

I guess the biggest hurdle is that Even though FTL has a HUGE GAY POPULATION there were like NO Drag shows here..... There were two clubs that had them and the queens there were FIERCE and had been there for a million years and there was NO SNEAKING IN... not even for guest spots....
(That is why I started the Trannie Palace in 2005 so that girls could perform)

Apply heavier Foundation :) (and make sure you are indeed wearing a THICK Foundation... like a pan stick or pancake... or dermablend etc... :) BUT the heavier it is... the easier it is to cover your flaws/pores, stubble etc

Hi misty, looking fabulous as ever.I have a problem with applying synwax, i will put it on and it will look ok for a few hours but then it will start to crack and make the makeup/glitter look terrible so i then try to apply more glitter/makeup.
SYNWAX is best used for Scars and special effects on your face... I dont use it for brows I use GLUE STICKS....

I can only recommend this... Use stronger glue or apply many layers to make it thicker if needed and you can apply powder if desired..... I also heard of one of my friends taking Eyelash glue and putting it over top of the glue stick for smoothing effect but I have not tried this.

YES I know what you are talking about... I usually stay away from Costume wigs for they are very thin and show your actual hair from underneath. OF COURSE YES..... there are drag queen comedians (Search CoCo Peru) and there are Drag queen Magicians (Search Cashetta) basically if there is a form of entertainment... you can do it in drag... BUT I will say that if you are a comedian you will need to be working in select venues / clubs etc.... Not every club would be comedian friendly but yeah.... You could even be a hostess or Emcee for drag shows and or pageants... Everyone likes to laugh :)

Hey Misty!!! I just love your videos. I just saw your earing gluing video and was wondering what you put behind the earing. i saw this skin color thing that you were putting the glue on to. Also, how can you use it with a hoop earings.
When the GLUE dries on the back of the earrings it starts to look like a FLESHY residue.... It actually makes it easier to glue your earrings in the future :)

Well I think the BEST Thing you can do is find songs that MEAN a lot TO YOU... if you are on a dancefloor and are you lie WOW THIS SONG ROCKS... then look into that son ... OR if a song has a message that you want to share ... that would be a good song :) BUT Most Drag queens dont DANCE but you do need to find other things to demand attention .. your face... your body movements etc. :)

I have really muscular shoulders that look horrible in most dresses. Is there a way to tailor my outfits to hide them?
This can be a HUGE issue when a Man desires to look like a SEXY woman on stage... Here is my VLOG Response :)
I am shy..but I so self concious of being rejected..and i want to become an entertainer..not exactly a drag but yeah in the business, how do i come out of my shell? without telling myself "im fabulous" over and over...is there a trick?
WELL OF COURSE YOU ARE FABULOUS.... HOWEVER the biggest trick I have to tell you is that you need to wear SOOO MUCH MAKEUP that its almost like your wearing a mask. (The best drag queens you cannot tell who they are out of drag) But with this mask, when you go out on the stage, remind yourself that you are someone else.... YOU ARE A DIVA, and not the shy guy behind the glitter. (I call it the Wonderwoman/Clark Kent Persona) :)
Dear Misty, I would love to meet you again in person and have you teach me about doing make up especialy eye liner because I tear up really bad and it just washes away because so would you please help me with that?
I also have allergies that make my eyez water...... but I use a Waterproof pencil first on the eye really thick before your foundation / powder etc... and then after your makeup lightly touch it up with liquid but most the makeup is pencil and that's not really prone to run.
I'm always a fan of your make up...especially your eyez ;-) Where do you get the inspiration for some of the designs you come up with?
GOSH.... I dont know... I just play around... sometimes it comes from mistakes.... and then Im like OK.. I'll draw lower lashes today LOL... and then other times I just start drawing and see what happens....
i am over 34 and i am new to drag, where can or should i go to try and perform on stage in ft lauderdale. i want to so scared of being laughed off the stage , i seem to be good at dressing and lip syncing, and they say i should perform not sure how where
I say you should start the same way I tell Everyone... Start at Special functions like work Christmas parties..... where you are surrounded by people that love you... and support you... and you wont be laughed off the stage. Even if you looked a hot mess. BUT more publicly I would suggest Benefits cause when raising money anyone is welcome to help etc... BUT locally here in fort lauderdale I would suggest Monkey Business, it is a small home town bar and it would be a safe venue with a very forgiving audience that will allow you to perfect your craft before you try to attack a bigger stage.

But let me spell it out for you....
There are two types of Standards..... 1- to protect you = Like after dating LOOSERS With no job and NO car... you tell yourself to only mentally stable and financially stable guys.
HOWEVER If your standards are SHALLOW... Like you only date guys that have a six pack etc are stupid... Who wants to grow old with a six pack.... There are rare finds of GREAT GUYS who are HOTT...Basically the only guys that should date self absorbed SUPER MODEL GUYS...are the REALLY RICH OLD GUYS who can afford them, but need them on thier arms as trophy man candy to get attention.
BUT IN ALL SEROUSNESS... ITS OK TO BE SINGLE.... and what I said in the video for the chubby guy is for EVERYONE... WORK ON YOURSELF and you will have something to offer... and NO... I do not think you should DATE A LOOSER just so your not single.

I am performing n drag for a friends birthday party. its in jan on a weekend. He loves Whip my hair and I dont know if i should go with hair extensions or wig? I have never done a drag number and I feel like i am rinning out of time on what all i need to!
unless you are a trannie and want daytime fish hair... I cannot see any reason for you to get extensions... SO YEAH... Jsut a WIG but if your going to whip your hair make sure its pinned / glued / tied on :)

Aloha Misty...I've gotten an offer to be a cast member of another show but I'm already part of another cast which happens to be the competition. I don't know if I should stay with my original cast or venture out and try another? Any advice?
If its not the same NIGHT - I say DO BOTH.. but if its the same night... I would stay with the FIRST SHOW... for many reasons... #1 THEY were there for your first... #2 obviously the Exposure you are getting is working... and there will be other shows on other nights that come up... #3 - IT PROVES that you are LOYAL... and that is JUST as important as being a TALENTED and GORGEOUS entertainer.
I have a show in FTL Called Trannie Palace... and Competition Stole one of my girls... Which was fine.. at FIRST IT HURT... but in the long run it just proved #1 that she could be bought... the funny thing is that the NEW SHOW Didnt even last a month... and then she begged for her job back... but I already filled her cast spot... and She regretted the decision she had made.
But as a Show Director I understand if a girl gets a BIG BOOKING and it pays more... I totally encourage her to take it... just to let me know so I can fill her spot etc... BUT I would BE DEVASTATED if one of my girls quit to go somewhere else. My Girls are like Family

NOW - If you want to date her as a boy... Get to know her and chat with her etc at the club and then be like HEY ID REALLY LIKE TO GET TO KNOW YOU... THE REAL YOU .... The man behind the makeup ... would you like to grab lunch or dinner sometime?
EITHER WAY... Just be honest and NICE... DOnt come across as CREEPY... or STALKER ISH... Otherwise she will put her guard up and she wont take you seriously... She just assume your one of the Collectors trying to have sex with all the girls in town.

OH YES!!!!!! I LOVE TRAVELING... Ive performed in Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Tulsa, Boston, Lewiston Maine, NYC, Atlanta, etc.... BUT YEAH... Out of STATE bookings are my fave... I love Traveling.. and I really LOVE to meet new and different people :)

I think this answer is DIFFERENT For everyone... I usually put Several songs I want to learn on a CD and play it on repeat in my car... and DRILL it into my brain :) sometimes uncontious but its a GOOD WAY to learn it... SOME SONGS I need to learn in a week.. and others take me months... depending on how long or hard I drill them... BUT it depends on how long it takes you to KNOW EVER WORD / BREATH...
as a NEW entertainer I do SUGGEST actually practicing in a MIRROR so you can make sure your mouth is OVER EXAGERATING The words etc :)

Hi Misty! I have oily skin and tend to sweat a lot, which is a bad combination for a stage performer. What do you recommend for a good full coverage foundation and a powder? I've tried MAC and Ben Nye, but they don't give me the full coverage I want.

I am a new queen in the drag world and when ever I am in drag I sweat alot. I was wondering if you had any tips to help keep makeup in tact if you sweat and if you are also a sweater how you deal with it?

After I did it for Halloween in 1998, and then I did it again on Halloween in 99 :) and it was a gradual trickle from there till 2003 when I was doing it Once a week... till 2005 when I was doing it 5-7 days a week :)
When queens get asked for appearences out of their area, does the people who book them pay their airfare and hotel or is it 50/50?
When an entertainer is booked out of town... YES the club / venue / event etc that is booking them Pays for their flight and Hotel Room

IM not able to do a demonstration... BUT YES you can find comfortable shoes... THE THICKER THE HEEL the more support you have... and if there is a platform the shorter the height inside the heel. BUT THE trick to walking is your basically going to half to walk on your toes :)

Do you as a Queen dress up for Halloween or do you stay Misty eyez the drag queen or do you go out as Kota moe or dress in a male costume? This year as Kenny Kardashian male I was an angel and as Kenny kardashian female, I was Betty Boop.
First answer.... Drag is my JOB.... I ONLY dress up when I am working. And YES I do work a LOT for Halloween, but If I go to a party/event that IM not working .. NO I go as a boy in a costume LOL.... (cowboy etc) BUT If I am WORKING... I feel that Halloween is a CROSS DRESSER'S Holiday... SO I let all the amateur's Gay boys in dresses be GORGEOUS and I go as Misty Eyez in a Halloween Costume based on the Theme for the EVENT etc.... This year the BIG Event I was planning for was
