dear misty, ive been doing drag for like 2 years, and i usually go for the more fish look. Is it a bad thing that although i totally respect other queens who are more theatrical and campy, but i just dont see myself being being able to do that?

in reality we are competing for bookings, we are cometing for tips, for attention. and in any job even the desk jobs we worry about the next best thing or the new younger models etc.... LOOK at Britney and Madonna... etc.....
In the entertainment there is no such thing as job security, that is why many of the girls are so mean and rued to the new girls to keep them from persisting and getting their jobs, crowns, gigs etc.

I dont know what is going on... but I DO KNOW that sometimes a FRESH Start is NEEDED... but I will also say that a Fresh start for someone who has been successful can be difficult for when you move somewhere new... you have to start all over.... nobody knows who you are.. you dont have a reputation... etc... and it can be tough starting all over... doing free shows again... doing benefits etc trying to get your name out there again... :)

Misty, I am a PROUD member of the International Court System. I happily volunteer to do charity shows and I do very few paid shows, almost none. I feel like there seem to be a issue with the paid girls. It just feels like they look down on us Court queen

If you can take half days at Vocational school study either beauty school for more hair / makeup or business for everyone even drag queens need to know how to balance a check book / marketing and advertising etc.

WOW, That is a GREAT QUESTION, and yet it requires a very complex answer. So complicated I don't know where to begin.... Let me see if I can help, and break it down for you, for the trans gendered community is split into three different Categories:
Transsexuals, Drag Queens, and Transvestites/Cross dressers,
Transsexuals, this is the most common group currently talked about in our media Today. Trans-Men and Trans-Women are individuals that feel they were born in the wrong body. This word merely means they are in the process of Transitioning their sex, and there are two types "Pre Op" Transsexuals and "Post Op" Transsexuals (Post Operation means they have had their down stairs surgery) they are often called Trannie's, or TG's (Trans Gendered) There are both FtoM Female to male and MtoF Male to Female Transsexuals. This however does not affect their sexual preference only their gender Identity. Some Grow up identifying as Gay, and become str8 women and some grow up identifying as Str8 men only to become lesbians after transition.
Drag Queens are Entertainers, and most usually identify as Gay Males. (Yes, this is what I am) We live our lives as Men, but we entertain on stage for a living. There are Career Queens and there are Hobby queens (I think Every Gay man does drag at least once before he dies - Usually on Halloween) However we are all guys in the day and dress up for work it! or to spice up parties etc. To Quote Wesley Snipes as Noxeema Jackson in the 1995 Movie To Wong Foo: "When a gay man has way too much fashion sense for one gender he is a drag queen." PS - Some Career Drag Queens alter their Bodies for their profession and end up becoming Transsexuals even though they do not identify as TS or women trapped in men's bodies.
Transvestites and Cross Dressers are the same thing, however most use the term Transvestite for it is much friendlier and this group of people is accepted by the Trans gendered community. TV's /CD's are straight men who wear woman's clothing for sexual fetish. This is usually about the article of amusement. Some just wear Panties or Pantyhose, some love the shoes and some need a minnie skirt or lingerie. But dressing in the opposite sex's clothing is just something they usually do in private for a sexual turn on. Unless they are going into public or a CD Party etc, they usually do not even wear a wig or accessories. Most often these straight men Do not Shave or alter their appearance in any way. In fact many of these men will have a beard or goatee to prove they are masculine, as to disguise their secret life.

If your feet are over size 13 it will be VERY Difficult to find shoes... BUT try the Stripper / Sex Shops sometimes they have Random size 16 etc laying around ... but if you do find what you like or what is comfortable i would then start to order that brand online to make sure you can get what you want :)

Dear Misty, I'm a 17 year old T-girl, a guy i go to school with messaged me and said.."i know your gay and thats fine, but are you trying to look like a girl?" Should i be open about it? however in high school gossip spreads worse than herpes.
I think I would say something like....... Everyone sees the world through Different EYEZ and Im comfortable with however you see me... If you see me as a girl... I dont mind... If you see me as a boy I dont mind... If you see me in a unique class all to my very own... I DONT MIND... AND Then I would say something like HIGH SCHOOL Is all about being your own person and HONESTLY IM not trying to FIT into any Labels... especially the one's that SOCIETY tries to force upon us.

Question about your contouring/high lighting: Is it possible to use a cream based clown white for my high light? And if so, how? Keep it from being tacky and setting it and all that.
YES...... THIS IS a GREAT way to HIGHLIGHT for DRAMATIC looks... and you would do that right on top your foundation BEFORE you powder... (and yes you MUST Set this -- and I think that if you use whatever color you set the rest of your face should be fine)
