i think this answer truly depends on where you live, and how tollerant your school is. Many schools have VERY STRICT RULES for prom so make sure you research it before you waist the time and money on a dress, hair, makeup only to be turned out and not allowed in. BUT Id also take several friends for safety in numbers. Sometimes Its more important to be ALIVE than to make a point. BUT if the situations are safe.... GO have fun :)

I'm confused. I know I'm gay and I'm really curious about drag. I'm not into wearing womens clothes and the term tranny and cross dresser kind of "freak" me out as I want to be a Drag Queen but for the showmanship of it, does this make me an odd ball?
There are MANY different words that mean the same thing.... Cross Dresser, Transgender, Transsexual, Drag queen, Transvestite etc.. they are all A MAN DRESSING IN WOMENS CLOTHING. the definitions split off into specific labels or divisions by the persons intent. A drag queen is just having fun on stage. A cross Dresser does it for fetish usually in the privacy of her home and a transgender feels that she was born in the wrong body etc.... dont let the labels scare you. :) XOXO

Dear Misty, i've been recently talking to this guy who was a FORMER dragqueen and he knows i do drag but the fact that he did drag before is holding me back from getting to know him....he sounds like a cool person but the whole drag thing is still there..

Dear misty;im an aspiring video grapher and i like to record pageants. Lately I have been booked to record some pageants and put them on dvds ,(Such as an all american goddess prelim,etc);I was wondering how much should i charge if they want to book me .
OH GOSH.. I dont know.. if it was ME... I would record them for FREE.. but Id advertise my DVD's for $20 each... I know that MOST contestants will want a copy.. hte promoters etc.. as well as several people watching will want a copy.

Do you like shopping for clothes?

Ive never heard of 17+ BUT Some cities allow 18+ to work at a bar... and some require 21+ but the problem with being a QUEEN is you have to DO A LOT of DRAG (me 5 years before I got paid to be in a show) so maybe if the bar allows 18+ maybe you can see if they allow you to work for free LOL??? until you perfect your craft

Dear Misty, My Best friend has been performing and entertaining for years. He's performed all through out High School and in College. He recently started doing drag and now everyone thinks he wants to be a woman. Why does he feel the need to dress up?
