Actually YES. It is Very common. When I first came out, I went to the MCC Church here in FTL (Sunshine Cathedral) and I walked in and two different men greeted me on the lips with a KISS. A normal peck on the lips hello, and I much like you was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE at first... It was different to me... and caught me off guard.
At first I thought it was a GAY CHURCH THING, I mean it is biblical. EXAMPLE:
1 Corinthians 16:20 “All the brethren greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.”
• 2 Corinthians 13:12 “Greet one another with a holy kiss.”
• 1 Thessalonians 5:26 “Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.”
But I soon realized, it wasn't a sexual or romantic thing, it wasn't a church thing, in fact it was just a GAY THING. Now im used to it.. HOWEVER, you must realize that you are Always in charge of you... If it is uncomfortable for you, you can always turn your head and do a cheek kiss. Most people will not be upset or putt off by that.

Im a new gay, and I just wanted to ask is it normal for people to kiss you on the lips when they say hello?
