Dear Misty, I have a deep passion for becoming a real drag queen, but I would really like to have a drag mother. There are a lot of things that I need to brush up on & would like to have someone to look up to. How can I get a drag mom?
Ok One more question..How do you feel about queens doing songs done by groups?? Such as Destiny's Child, Pussycat Dolls, Electrik Red, Ect... I'm building up my song selection (even though I've yet to even start drag) and a few songs are by groups -Julian
I dont think that ANYTHING IS off limits. Entertainment is Entertainment.
But me PERSONALLY.... if there is a SOLID GIRL LEAD that you can hear throughout the entire song.... I would do it... (Pussy can dolls etc) but a group song like MOULON ROUGE etc... where there is OBVIOUSLY a different person each verse I personally wouldn't do all four parts myself unless it was for a specific themed event and that was the only song appropriate and I didn't have 3 people to help me etc.......
Hey Misty! I follow you on facebook, and I've noticed you have a lot of FOAM wigs. Where do you get them? Do you make them? If so, how?
I make them out of random things... depending on what I need.... take a walk around Home Depot etc.. and imagine... would that look good as hair? what if its Spray Painted??? And to make them I usually use HOT GLUE
Misty I have a friend that could potentially have HIV. I try to keep his morale up and support him and love him no matter what and i always will but, my question is.... is there anything else that i could do to help him cope with this. Thanks so much!
why would you want to help someone who may have cancer ... if they dont have cancer.... and HOW COULD YOU KNOW they MIGHT have HIV?
What you can do is encourage your friend to get Tested... GO WITH YOU for example when you get tested.. and offer to hold his hand no matter what...
IF HE DOES HAVE IT.... and he is confronted by the reality that he is poz.. he will be going through grief and will then need concealing.... im suresomeone at the testing place can help with that
Dear Misty, although I've always had an interest in drag queens, watching RuPaul's Drag Race is what ultimately inspired me to finally start doing drag. I'm very serious about doing drag, but is it bad that the show is what inspired me to start?
NOT AT ALL... MOST of us draw inspiration from Film, TV etc... You watch a cop show and you realize you want to be a cop.. how could you know what its like to be a drag queen until your exposed to It.
Different people get inspiration from different things.... I was inspired by doing it for Halloween on a Dare....

yes It is Normal to develop feelings form someone you meet for 5 seconds... its usually called a first impression.... To think about someone you havent seen in years is also Normal.... SO YEAH... I think your NORMAL
